Re: “Colorado has the cheapest energy bills in the nation, survey finds,” July 13 The Balance Sheet blog post.
Thank you for your recent post. It shows that the transition to cleaner energy is not as financially scary as it seems. Many people fear that by having more progressive energy policies, their electricity rates will increase. However, Colorado has been really progressive and transitioning from coal to cleaner energy sources for some time now, disproving this notion.
Colorado is proof that progressive policies can both work and be cost-effective. The Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan is coming out very soon and we are ready and equipped to expand on our policies to comply with it. Not only will this help even more with our energy bills, it will also be good for our air and health.
