A Belgian journalist, at the end of a month-long vacation with his girlfriend, was identified as the 47-year-old early Sunday by a driver police say was drunk.
Eric Vancoppenolle was struck about 12:10 a.m. near West 88th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard.
Vancoppenolle , according to the organization.
“We remember him as a warm, enthusiastic journalist with a big heart for culture and the city,” the organization said in a post announcing Vancoppenolle’s death.
Prosecutors say Cory Norris, 21, of Westminster, is suspected of vehicular homicide and DUI.
