Saturday-Sunday: Trains, it’s often said, bring out the little kid in all of us. But this weekend’s Rocky Mountain Train Show at the Forney Museum of Transportation will bring out the Big Boy for all the steam-train, diesel and general-rail enthusiasts. In this case, the Big Boy is the world’s largest steam locomotive, a Union Pacific 4005, which attendees will be able to inspect up close, inside and out. Surrounding it will be 100 tables of model trains and seven operating layouts, plus the larger Forney Museum which includes vintage autos, bicycles and motorcycles. Food trucks will also be on hand to recharge the batteries. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at 4303 Brighton Blvd. $9 for adults, $5 children 12 and under, free for 3 and under. 303-297-1113 or .
