In a lovesick attempt to meet — and hopefully kiss — arguably the world’s most popular music star, an Air Force cadet is going all out to lure icon Taylor Swift to a graduation dance that’s 10 months away.
Brett Hagen, a 23-year-old heading into his last year at the Air Force Academy, released an elaborate YouTube music video as part of his campaign to get Swift to the 2016 Ring Dance.
The Ring Dance is an annual formal gala that comes as part of the academy’s graduation traditions.
Hagen wants Swift to be his date for the May 27, 2016, ball.
“If you’re watching this video, Taylor, will you please go to the USAFA Ring Dance with Me?” he asks on a Facebook page formed as part of the campaign.
In the YouTube posting, Hagen raps through a four-minute music video of apparently original lyrics made up of puns from Swift songs and pleas for companionship.
“Taylor, you just blow my mind,” he raps. ” … You probably get this all the time, but girl I want to make you mine.”
