An Avon couple have been arrested as suspects in their 4-month-old daughter’s death.

Patrick Williams, 31, and Lossie Thomas, 24, were arrested Tuesday, according to an Eagle County District Attorney’s media release.

The infant, who died June 8, was underweight, with skin rashes and ulcers, according to the release.

Her death was ruled a homicide.

The couple has two other children who are in custody of child protective services.

Williams was advised Wednesday in court that he faces felony charges of child abuse causing death, child abuse criminal negligence, both felonies, and two counts of misdemeanor child abuse.

His bail has been set at $100,000.

Thomas was arrested Tuesday in Denver. Her first court appearance is scheduled Thursday.
