The owner of a Jeep found out it was stolen Sunday when Denver police found it sitting in the South Platte River.
Someone reported the vehicle in the water between Florida and Evans Avenues at about 6 a.m., said Sonny Jackson, Denver police spokesman. “The owner wasn’t aware it was stolen,” he said.
The Denver Fire Department will remove the Jeep, Jackson said.
