Damage to a joint on the Loveland Bridge has temporarily closed the right hand travel lane of westbound Interstate 70 across the bridge until repairs can be made.
The 2-foot by 2-foot joint failure on the bridge at mile marker 216 is expected to be repaired and the road reopened on Sunday afternoon.
The Colorado Department of Transportation is expecting heavy delays for westbound traffic until the repair is completed.
“We are in the process of repairing it, but obviously there are delays,” said CDOT spokeswoman Amy Ford.
