Denver prosecutors have charged a 38-year-old woman accused of taking part in a fight between her 16-year-old daughter and the teen’s classmate in April.

Selina Ramirez faces allegations of third-degree assault and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a felony offense.

Prosecutors say on April 22, Ramirez urged her daughter to fight another girl and pushed the girl her daughter was fighting to the ground.

According to an arrest affidavit, Ramirez was captured in a Facebook video of the fight. “Just hit her!” Ramirez says to her daughter in the video, according to the affidavit.

Authorities say the fight happened outside of Ramirez’s daughter’s school, Colorado High School Charter, on the 1100 block of Osage Street.

An arrest warrant for Ramirez was signed June 10.

Ramirez posted $5,000 bond and was released, according to a news release Wednesday from the Denver District Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors say she is due back in court Aug. 11.
