Two bicyclists were seriously injured in separate accidents Friday.

In the first incident, a boy was seriously injured in northeast Denver after colliding with a vehicle.

The collision happened near the intersection of Dahlia Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard, police said.

Police say the juvenile bicyclist was taken to a hospital.

Another bicyclist was injured later Friday in a traffic incident near Governor’s Park, according to the Denver Police Department Twitter feed.

The second collision happened at East 9th Avenue and Logan Street, police said at 6:12 p.m. on Twitter.

The cyclist suffered serious injury.

Ninth Avenue was closed in both directions, but was later opened.

Further details on the injuries, or on the cause of the incident, were not released.
