Friday-Sunday: The nonprofit South Fork Music Association, based around that tiny town near the Rio Grande National Forest in southwest Colorado, differentiates itself from the summer-fest pack with a fundraising event that’s both family-friendly and intimate. Its 10th annual Rhythms on the Rio features live music from Travelin’ McCourys (with Bill Nershi), New Orleans Suspects, Hot Buttered Rum String Band, Euforquestra, Dead Winter Carpenters and more in addition to the usual camping, river tubing, yoga, games, food and beverages.
The event takes place at 28091 U.S. 160 in South Fork. Tickets at the gate are $65 (non-camping) and $75 for a 3-day pass. Day passes available. .
