A full closure of Interstate 225 is on tap for overnight Saturday while a fully assembled pedestrian bridge is placed over the highway.
The closure, which also took place Friday overnight, will run from 8 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday.
Crews are installing the bridge between Florida Station and the Medical Center of Aurora.
The bridge will allow light-rail riders to cross between the station platform and the west side of I-225.
The bridge measures 192 feet long and 14 feet wide and weighs more than 600,000 pounds. A 500-ton crane will be used to place the bridge.
