Denver will be soaked with beer-related events on that blessed week of the Great American Beer Festival, Sept. 24-26. They will be held before, during and even after GABF leaves town, including beer-pairing dinners, rare beer tastings, discussions about beer, meet-and-greets with brewers, sour beer extravaganzas and even mini-beer festivals.
Consider this your guide.

Wednesday, Sept. 23
4:30 to 8:30 p.m. — Beers Made By Walking is a mini-festival that invites brewers to create beer inspired by plants identified on nature trails and urban walks. Thirty breweries will be providing unlimited samples at this event that will be held at Our Mutual Friend Brewery. Tickets are $30 and include a commemorative glass.

5:30 – 10 p.m. — The fourth annual What The Funk Invitational will be held at the Highlands Masonic Event Center, 3550 Federal Blvd. Sponsored by Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project, this year’s event will feature more than 60 breweries from across the United States and a few international breweries. Tickets are $115 for VIP and $90 for general admission. A portion of the proceeds will go to the as well as , a local non-profit organization that works to provide clean water systems to developing countries.

Thursday, Sept. 24
2015 AVERY MIDNIGHT BREAKFAST
10:15 p.m. — Avery Brewing Co. and Euclid Hall Bar & Kitchen welcome GABF attendees in great American style for the fifth year in a row with the Midnight Breakfast at Euclid Hall right after the first GABF session. Tickets for this late night beer breakfast are $125 per person (tax and gratuity included). .

Friday, Sept. 25
1 to 4 p.m. — Denver Rare Beer Tasting is a benefit for Pints for Prostates that gives people a chance to sample rare, exotic and vintage beers from 50 of America’s top craft breweries. VIP Tickets are $150 and include early admission starting at noon. General admission tickets are $110. A buffet lunch is included in the ticket price and guests can bid in a silent auction that includes a variety of unique beer experiences and collectibles.
