Lots of people want to learn more about the sustainable seafood movement in landlocked Denver, and a great opportunity is coming up that blends top chefs, delectable seafood, and leading experts.

On Aug. 26, more than 10 local chefs team up with the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch to host Go Fish!, a strolling dinner with a feast of seafood selections from environmentally friendly sources.

Seafood Watch is one of the country’s leading sources of science-based information on sustainable seafood. The event is hosted by chefs Dory Ford of Baur’s Restaurant and Listening Lounge; Sheila Lucero of Jax Fish House; Oyster Bar, and Kelly Whitaker of Basta and Cart-Driver.

All three Denver chefs are members of the Seafood Watch Blue Ribbon Task Force, a national group of culinary leaders who are committed to improving the food system and preserving the ocean.

The dinner will be great place to network with experts, dine on sustainable fish donated by the Seattle Fish Co., which is based in Denver, and learn about the latest trends.

Participating chefs include of Fruition, Troy Guard of , Paul Reilly of Beast + Bottle, Shaun Motoda of TAG Raw Bar, Matt Vawter of Mercantile Dining & Provision, Kyle Mendenhall of The Kitchen Community, and Kevin Grossi of Lola.

Go Fish! Ocean-Friendly Seafood Celebration will be held at Baur’s Restaurant and Listening Lounge, 1512 Curtis St., from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Aug. 26.
