COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A teenager who was involved in a drunk-driving crash that killed two of his friends in Black Forest is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 16.
The Colorado Springs Gazette reports (http://goo.gl/BM4vb3 ) 18-year-old Marshal Gregory, of Parker, pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of vehicular homicide stemming from the Sept. 1 crash that killed 18-year-old Ryan Pappas and 17-year-old Beau Begier. A third passenger was severely injured but has since recovered.
Gregory, who was 17 at the time of the crash, was charged as an adult.
The Colorado State Patrol says he had been drinking and was going 80 mph, twice the speed limit, when his vehicle went airborne, rolled down an embankment and crashed into some trees.
All three victims were students at Palmer Ridge High School.
