This article had a zing to it. Denver Art District President Jack Pappalardo is a hard worker. He and his art community created the Santa Fe Drive Business Improvement District with a $14 million streetscape upgrading planned. The effort is most admirable.
However, it will take more than present computed improvements and upkeep to pull in daily throngs of consumers, especially the mass affluent ones, to plunk down cash money in the area’s eateries, “90 galleries, studios and creative businesses.”
Purchasing art takes lots of discretionary income, so Pappalardo shouldn’t knock venerable Cherry Creek North.
