A man and woman have been charged with kidnapping and robbery in Denver for sticking up two men at gunpoint.

The pair were caught in a stolen vehicle in a fast food drive-thru lane, authorities said.

Ivan Lopez-Banuelos, 22, and Alese Sylva, 28, are each charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of kidnapping and two counts of motor vehicle theft, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

Lopez-Banuelos is also charged with three counts of possession of a weapon by a previous offender.

On Friday, two men offered Sylva a ride home from a Denver club, prosecutors said. When they tried to drop her off in the 500 block alley between Elliot Street and Federal Boulevard an armed man approached the car.

The charges alleged that the pair then forced the two men men at gunpoint to withdraw money from an ATM before stealing the vehicle.

Lopez-Banuelos and Sylva were caught a short time later when the stolen car was spotted at a local eatery.

Lopez-Banuelos’ bond is set at $200,000 and Sylva’s bond is set at $100,000, the DA’s office said. Both remain in custody and both are scheduled for a Friday court appearance.
