Daily life in Denver will take the global stage on Friday, at least for Snapchat aficionados. Users of the picture and video messaging app will be able to post images from their lives in the Mile High City to Snapchat users worldwide, according to a message on the app that reads, “Heads up! Denver is live tomorrow!”

Snapchat is a smart phone application that allows users to share photos and videos that disappear shortly after they have been viewed. Snapchat recently launched a feature called Live Stories, allowing users at different events or locations to post their “snaps” to a single string of videos and pictures provided by other users at that same event.

“The end result is a Story told from a community perspective with lots of different points view,” according to the Snapchat website.

Other cities that have recently scored a spot on the live story feature include Washington, D.C., Mumbai and Sydney, Australia. Snapchat users in Denver can post their videos by sending them to a “Live Story” tab that should appear below the traditional “My Story” option.

Snapchat, which is valued at $16 billion, has almost 100 million daily users. The app’s leaders raised eyebrows in 2013 when they turned down Facebook’s approximately $3 billion all-cash bid to buy the company.
