Who says 13 is an unlucky number?
Since acquiring former Rockies star Troy Tulowitzki, the Toronto Blue Jays have rattled off a 13-1 record with the shortstop on the roster. With Tulo as a starter? A perfect 13-0.
That streak has powered the Blue Jays from a losing record and a fourth-place position in the AL East to passing the Yankees for first place.
Since his booming debut — a 3-for-5 performance at the plate with a homer and two doubles on July 29 — Tulowitzki has cooled off. He’s hitting just .231 for the Blue Jays since the trade.
