A 70-year-old man injured his head and spine after falling 15 feet down a cliff while hiking Saturday along the Shadow Creek Canyon Trail in Boulder County.
The man was conscious when he was found about noon by Boulder County Sheriff’s deputies and Rocky Mountain Rescue, authorities said.
He was not able to walk to the South Mesa Trailhead so rescuers carried the man and then took him to a hospital for evaluation.
His name was not released.
