Denver police took two people into custody around 9 a.m. in connection with a spree of early Monday morning 7-Eleven robberies.

The two suspects are juveniles, police said. Their names and mug shots will not be available.

Police began investigating early Monday after armed robbers hit at least four 7-Eleven stores in the metro area.

Police said the robberies all involved three masked men and took place within about two hours, starting at about 3:10 a.m.

Two stores were held up near the National Western Stock Show Complex and a third was held up near West 38th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, according to Sonny Jackson with the Denver Police Department.

The suspects are described as three Hispanic males, two wearing black shirts and one wearing a red shirt, Jackson said.

One man was heavy-set and armed with a gun, Jackson said.

Another 7-Eleven at Washington Street and East 64th Avenue was also robbed, according to Sgt. Aaron Pataluna with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspects were driving a white, 4-door Honda Civic with the license plate number 699-SWW, Jackson said. The car is believed to be stolen.

Jackson said the suspects are likely involved in other robberies in the metro area.
