The second annual is Saturday in Aurora, with 20 performances celebrating cultures from around the world.
The event, at the great lawn of the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 East Alameda Parkway, kicks off at 2 p.m. with a flag ceremony followed by opening remarks by Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan. In runs through 8 p.m.
“Now in our second year, I am happy to see that we are establishing a wonderful tradition for our Aurora community of celebrating the many cultures and traditions that make this event truly a unique festival,” Hogan said in a statement.
Among the events is an international fashion show with 32 countries showcasing traditional garments. Also on tap are performances of Kenyan drums, Caribbean salsa, Mexican mariachis and more.
A variety of food vendors will offer ethnic food and local brewers will also be on hand.
