You don’t normally find the city’s most fashionable residents and charitable givers hanging out under a highway viaduct near downtown Denver, but that’s exactly where they were for the third annual Urban Nights benefit Saturday.

A capacity crowd of 1,400 attended the event for , which provides shelter, meals, medical care and case management to youths in need.

After an inspirational talk from Peak graduate James “Jacob” Adam, an award to “Urban Legend” and a live auction, it was time for 40 models to take to the T-shaped runway. From the opening pastel ball gowns by Parasite Eve accessorized with Andrea Li’s bold jewelry to the male underwear models at the show’s end, it was a fast parade of fashion, directed by Autumn Binion.

Show producer Dahlia Weinstein said she had 40 models (10 of them guys) wearing outfits from a dozen local designers and stores. A crew from Matthew Morris Salon did the hair, and the dramatic makeup was by Gina Comminello’s .

It was entertaining because there was something for everyone, including Francis Roces’ Tokyo street style inspiration, Goldyn’s LoHi girls, Garbarini’s uptown girls and sensible chic. The evening raised more than $200,000, said chairwoman Amy Meyer Smith. She’s marketing director at presenting sponsor Infiniti of Denver, owned by her husband Chris Smith.
