Lakewood police are not ready to declare a suspicious death a suicide after the man’s girlfriend claimed he killed himself.
Jared Jacob Hoar, 22, was found dead at 68 S. Ingalls St. Tuesday night, according to a news release by Lakewood police spokesman Steve Davis.
Hoar’s girlfriend had called police at 8 p.m. to report the death, the news release says.
Lakewood detectives subsequently classified the case as a “suspicious death investigation.”
“More information is needed to determine the manner of death,” Davis said in the news release.
Detectives are asking anyone who has information about Hoar, residents and visitors of his house, is asked to call police at 303-987-7111.
