Denver police Sunday night announced they had located a 1999 black Lexus four-door that was involved in a hit-and-run injury accident Saturday night.

The vehicle was found abandoned and no suspect information is available, police tweeted.

Police issued a Medina alert, asking the public to watch for the Lexus with Colorado license plate 944-QZA.

The accident happened about 7:30 p.m. at Federal Boulevard and Exposition Avenue. Police issued a Medina alert at 9:30 p.m.

“The suspect’s vehicle was traveling southbound on Federal Blvd, and turned left on eastbound Exposition Ave., causing a motorcycle travelling northbound to lose control and strike the roadway, causing serious injury,” according to the alert.

Medina alerts ask the public to watch for vehicles involved in serious hit and runs. They are named after Jose Medina, who was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Lincoln Street.
