Glendale on Tuesday unveiled an updated conceptual design of a planned $150 million dining and entertainment center, which will boast 25 bars and restaurants, a hotel and a “common consumption area” where adults can carry to-go alcoholic drinks within the complex.

Overall there will be 270,000 leasable square feet for restaurants and retail in Glendale 180, a project on the banks of Cherry Creek that the city said will serve as a “major social center for the Denver metropolitan area.”

The project ran into difficulties earlier this year their 6-acre parcel to the city. Glendale has since announced it can proceed with construction without that parcel.

Groundbreaking for Glendale 180 is expected to take place early next year.
