Cleo Parker Robinson Dance celebrated its 45th Anniversary with its sixth annual Dancing with the Denver Stars gala on Aug. 29 at the Marriott City Center Hotel.
Dancers from Robinson’s ensemble were paired with local politicos, business, and community leaders to perform a variety of routines.
Dancers included Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, Michael Sawaya, managing senior partner, Sawaya Law Firm; Kim Bimestefer, president and general manager of Cigna; Gloria Schoch, community commerce and partnerships management, MillerCoors; and State Rep. Crisanta Duran. Chairing the event was Gwen Brewer and Pat Cortez was honorary chair.
The gala, which raises funds for Cleo Parker Robinson Dance’s education and outreach programs, attracted 670 patrons for the dinner, dance and comedy by Shed G, plus music from The Isaac Points Jakarta Band.
