AIR FORCE ACADEMY — This was a thorough, balanced beat-down, and it seemed to be exactly what Air Force expected.

Playing a Morgan State football team that left 10 players home because of academic issues, a group that included 1,400-yard rusher Herb Walker Jr., the Falcons used Saturday’s season opener to flex their muscles during a 63-7 victory.

Air Force’s nine touchdowns were scored by nine players. The Falcons scored on offense, defense and special teams. They ran for 394 yards, yet sprinkled in 119 yards through the air. Their defense forced two turnovers and had six sacks.
