Both suspects involved in an armed robbery in Eagle County on Friday are apprehended as of Saturday morning, officials said.
The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office took Jesus Manuel Miranda Jr. into custody early Saturday morning, according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
On Friday afternoon, one person was wounded in Eagle County during an armed robbery, officials said.
County authorities had an unidentified woman in custody in connection to the incident and were searching for Manuel Miranda Jr., according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
The pair are suspected of a 12:30 p.m. heist at the Tienda Montes in Gypsum.
“The incident resulted in an altercation, resulting in one victim sustaining a gun shot wound,” Eagle County officials said on their official Facebook page.
Schools in Gypsum were placed on lock-out as a precaution, the county sheriff’s office said. Students were escorted to their parents’ cars when classes let out.
Authorities did not immediately release further information.
