Rescue crews found a body after a fire at the Trails End Motel in Lakewood early Sunday, according to West Metro Fire Rescue.
The fire broke out at about 1 a.m. in one of the rooms at 9205 W. Colfax Ave., said West Metro District Chief Gary Armstrong.
“It was not a big fire,” and was out when firefighters arrived, Armstrong said.
They found the body of a man in the unit, he added. “We don’t know if it was the direct result of the fire,” Armstrong said.
The fire is under investigation.
