Two people were killed and four others including children were injured and transported to hospitals Sunday after a single-vehicle roll-over crash that partially closed Interstate 76 northeast of metro Denver.
Two children were airlifted to Children’s Hospital and a man was airlifted to Denver Health Medical Center, Colorado State Patrol spokesman Josh Lewis said. A woman was transported by ambulance to University Hospital.
Patrol investigators still were working out identities, Lewis said.
Troopers responded to the accident east of Hudson, which happened at about 4:45 p.m. and involved a Ford utility vehicle. The westbound lanes of I-76 were closed for more than two hours.
I-76 westbound lanes reopened at 7:03 p.m., Lewis said.
No other information was available, he said.
