The man whose after a fire at the Trails End Motel in Lakewood early Sunday was 65-year-old Craig Coomber, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
Coomber’s cause of death is “pending further studies,” said Jonathan Cline, Jefferson County lead coroner investigator.
The fire broke out at about 1 a.m. in one of the rooms at 9205 W. Colfax Ave., West Metro District Chief Gary Armstrong, said on Sunday.
They found the body of a man in the unit, he added. “We don’t know if it was the direct result of the fire,” Armstrong said.
