Hillary Clinton said she was “sorry about that” one day after she insisted she had nothing to apologize for regarding her e-mail scandal. Apparently even the best political advice can’t prevent a candidate from looking insincere.
But in the same interview Clinton also still maintained that what she did “was al lowed” and “was above board.”
She can’t be serious. What she did was neither.
And if she is serious, what exactly was she apologizing for? Certainly she is sorry about the scandal, since it’s become a millstone that has undermined her sense of inevitability as a candidate.
As Ron Fournier at if what she did is allowed, then presumably she’d have no problem with “all ex ec ut ive branch of fi cials … us ing secret serv ers to shield them selves from le gis lat ive over sight” — and thus undermine the Free dom of In form a tion Act, national security and historical accountability.
Surely not.
