Today-Sunday: Hard to believe: It was 10 years ago that local promoter Dana Cain started a fledgling venture called the Denver Modernism Show. But she was on to something, understanding that fans of 1950s fashion and ’60s furniture needed a place to express their odd obsession. That makes this weekend’s version a celebration, and there’s plenty of activities, new and resurrected. Returning are Charles Phoenix, set to do something weird with Twinkies, and the annual Miss Modernism Pageant, hosted by Naughty Pierre, with a $500 prize. The Tiki Lounge will be back, too, overseen by LUPEC (Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails). 6 p.m.-10 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m.-4 .p.m Sunday. National Western Complex. $10 general admission. .
