Getting your player ready...

Peyton Manning doesn’t want to talk about his DirecTV commercial or if this is his last season with Broncos.

He’d rather address a historically great Ravens defense, which has wreaked havoc across the AFC for the better part of the 21st century.

“Baltimore is an excellent defense. You’ve got to dominate all four quarters, I’m not sure anybody has ever done that against Baltimore,” Manning said. “But, hopefully you can win enough plays and be efficient enough where you can do well enough to win the football game.”

WATCH:

will be hunting Manning all game Sunday. And they surely have his full attention.

“Those guys can change a game. They can cause disruption,” Manning said. “Everybody has to do their part to help with those guys.”

Manning stressed it wouldn’t just be the job of Ty Sambrailo, Ryan Harris and the rest of the line. It would be the receivers running crisp routes, running backs picking up the blitz and him making the correct reads, if the team hopes to beat Baltimore.

Headed into his 18th season, Manning was voted the offensive team captain once again. The goal is still the same — a Super Bowl win.

But, it all starts with Week One.

“Season openers are similar to playoff games. There’s a lot of energy and a lot of juice,” Manning said. “The fans ought to be fresh as well and loud. And we want to use that to our advantage.”
