It’s Ronda Rousey’s turn to clean up the Double Deuce.
The UFC women’s bantamweight champion Variety reported Wednesday morning.
“It is a great honor to play a part in celebrating the life of a man that inspired so many,” . “I couldn’t be more grateful to have this opportunity to pay respect to the beloved Patrick Swayze.
“I promise to work incessantly to make sure this project is a tribute his family and fans can be proud of.”
The original movie starred Swayze as a professional bouncer hired to take over security at the Double Deuce bar in Jasper, Mo., who later protects the town from a corrupt businessman.
Plenty of fighting ensues.
Production is set to begin in 2016, according to Variety. No release date has been announced.
Rousey is slated to defend her UFC belt at UFC 193 against Holly Holm on Nov. 15.
