A rollover crash Thursday afternoon involving two cars in Aurora killed one person and left several people injured, including a 7-year-old girl.

The accident took place at Gun Club and Picadilly roads about 3:45 p.m. when a black Saturn was speeding, ran a stop sign and crashed into a silver Toyota Camry, causing the Saturn to flip onto its roof, said Aurora police spokesman Michael McClelland.

When police arrived on scene, they found a 7-year-old girl upside-down in a child’s seat in the Saturn screaming, McClelland said. She is being treated at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora for critical injuries but is stable, police said.

The driver of the Saturn was pronounced dead at the scene, and an adult female passenger is being treated for critical injuries.

After nearly 6 hours of being closed, Gun Club Road reopened about 9:40 p.m.

Identities of those involved were not available
