Eleven horses have been diagnosed with West Nile Virus as of Monday, according to the Colorado Department of Agriculture.

The affected horses come from nine Colorado counties: Alamosa, Boulder, Broomfield, Conejos, Fremont, Jefferson, Park and Weld counties.

The first was confirmed earlier in September in Jefferson County.
