Denver officials have failed to release information about one of their own — Judge Kerry Hada, who apparently was Sept. 11 and escorted from the courthouse after behaving erratically.
That information was gleaned by Denver Post reporter Tom McGhee only through sources who requested anonymity.
Denver officials aren’t saying what happened. They have refused to discuss it, citing privacy concerns and saying the “integrity of the investigation outweighs” providing information or records.
Why is it too damaging to release information involving a public official when that information is regularly released about everyone else — as it should be?
further reported that on the same day as the courtroom incident, a SWAT team responded to a hotel to check on a guest. Rooms were evacuated before the person was taken into custody. Maass says “numerous indications” suggest the man was Hada.
The fact that Denver officials refuse to release any information on either incident is mysterious and just plain bad policy.
