It’s that time of year again: The Broncos are playing, the air is crisp with a hint of autumn, and is hosting its annual pig roast in Denver’s Uptown neighborhood.

This year’s shebang will be held Oct. 3. Veterans of the event know the drill: The Marczyk crew, including brothers Peter and Paul, haul out the roasters and go whole hog, slow-cooking a couple of Niman Ranch pigs until they are fall-apart tender.

For $18.99, you get a heaping plate of fine swine, plus sides such as baked beans, cole slaw, cornbread and a potato salad using a recipe from the Marczyk brothers’ mom.

This is the event’s 14th anniversary. It runs from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. at 770 E. 17th Ave. at the southwest corner of East 17th Avenue and Clarkson Street.
