Through Sunday: Hispanic Heritage Month is approaching its middle, and the Denver Film Society still has a thing or two to show us. Or should we say a dozen things? Its second annual CineLatinofestival at the Sie FilmCenter is a small but energetic event celebrating Latino filmmakers. The four-day fest, which began Sept. 24 and runs through Sept. 27, showcases work from Latin America, Mexico, Europe and the United States with a particular relevance and urgency, since topics such as immigration, ethnicity and identity are dominating the global conversation. The seven full-length films, three documentaries and one retrospective have screened previously at Cannes, Berlin and festivals across the U.S. Films run at various times, 2510 E. Colfax Ave. $70 all-access pass or $12 per film. Visit for a full schedule.
