Swallow Hill Music’s cafe will be renamed in memory of Quinlan Financial Group co-founder Jeff Quinlan, who left millions to the nonprofit when he died in 2010.

Quinlan was passionate about music and wanted to make a difference for the nonprofit Swallow Hill Music Association, where he served on the board from 2007 until his death.

” through the power of music,” friend and former executive director of Swallow Hill Music Tom Scharf told The Denver Post in 2010.

The renaming officially takes place Saturday at an event from 5 to 7 p.m. at the cafe, 71 E. Yale Ave. in Denver. Members of Quinlan’s family and the Swallow Hill Music community will gather to recall and celebrate his love of music and generosity, the organization said in a news release.
