Interview with Glenn Adams, president
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: We are a veteran-owned and -operated business with a strong background in a variety of military and civilian firearms. We enjoy shooting for sport, including competition and hunting. As there were no traditional brick-and-mortar gun stores on the Front Range along the Interstate 70 corridor, we felt there was a need and opportunity for this business.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: We are the only full-service gun store on the Front Range along the Interstate 70 corridor featuring a full-time gunsmith. We have a large supply of reloading components, with an extensive selection of smokeless powder. We also offer reloading and custom loading services for standard and obsolete ammunition.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: Conversing with customers, satisfying special customer orders and service, keeping up with the constant technology developments in the firearms trade.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Obtaining and keeping adequate supplies, especially rimfire ammunition. Overcoming prejudices against firearm ownership and use by responsible gun owners. Working with politically motivated, ineffective and poorly written legislation that imposes gun controls at the expense of responsible gun owners without producing any positive impact on public safety.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: There is a very high degree of community support for gun ownership and the presence of a gun store in this area. Many of our customers are women and young people interested in learning to use firearms for both sport and personal protection.
