Canyon bike ride
Southwest Memorial Foundation and Southwest Colorado Canyons Alliance will host the inaugural Ride of the Ancients on Oct. 11 in Cortez. The cycling route will span 100 miles around Canyons of Ancients National Monument. Ride as an individual or as a team. All proceeds from the race will go to the Montelores Cancer Care Fund. Registration is $100 per person and is discounted for teams of up to four riders.
Women’s rodeo
Loveland will host the 11th annual Women’s Ranch Rodeo World Finals on Oct. 16-17. Teams of four will compete in five ranching skills events. Tickets are $10 per performance. Events will be at the Ranch Events Complex. 303-753-6353 or
