The Denver Center for International Studies was briefly put on lockdown Monday afternoon after a school bus driver spotted a boy with a knife, said Will Jones, Denver Public Schools spokesman.
The school’s Office of Safety and Security contacted the boy and he gave up the knife, Jones said.
Security personnel talked to the boy in an office, Jones said. “No charges are going to be filed.”
Denver police also talked with the juvenile, police spokesman Eranda Piyasena said.
The lockdown was lifted at about 3:40 p.m.
