A small, twin-engine airplane landed safely at Denver International Airport on Monday night after the pilot reported mechanical problems.
DIA spokesman Heath Montgomery said the one person aboard the plane — a Queen Air B-65-type aircraft — was not injured.
The landing about 8:45 p.m. closed one of the airport’s runways, and officials say they are working to remove the plane.
Clean up should be completed “soon,” Montgomery said.
He says the landing is not having a significant impact on airport operations.
