
1 Peeper creeper. A man reported that at 2 a.m. Sept. 23, he was inside his garden level apartment in the 1400 block of Depew Street when he observed a woman stoop down and peep into his window. He said the woman flashed a large wad of bills and asked him if he had any dope. Police later found the woman nearby and cited her for window peeping. She said she had been smoking marijuana laced with methamphetamine.
2 Traffic offender naps in cop car. Lakewood police arrested a woman Sept. 24 after she left her vehicle at the scene of a property damage accident at West Mississippi Avenue and South Harlan Street. Before being cited with DUI, careless driving and various other traffic-related charges, the woman fell asleep in the back of a squad car.
3 Early morning medication. An officer approached two men sitting at a bus stop shelter at West Colfax Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard in the early morning hours of Sept. 23. One man was drinking a Budweiser and Clamato Chelada beer, and the other was smoking from a hash pipe. Both men were issued summonses for open container and marijuana consumption.
4 Don’t wake the kids. Officers responded to a domestic violence report Sept. 23 in the 6500 block of West Third Avenue in Lakewood. After a night of drinking, a couple got into a dispute about the wife’s loud music in their bedroom while their two children were asleep in the next room. The husband said he asked her to please turn it down, but she scratched up his back with her fingernails when he tried to take her phone. The wife was cited.
