A man was shot and seriously injured early Wednesday morning on a south Denver street, authorities say.

The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

Police were called at 4:30 a.m. after a man was shot on the 700 block of South Wolff Street, said Raquel Lopez, Denver police spokeswoman.

“They found the victim outside, but I don’t know if he was in a car or not,” Lopez said.

No information is available about the suspect, she said.
