Burke and Davis put up some quality numbers Saturday, despite the Jaguars losing 42-43 in overtime to Lewis-Palmer.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound senior QB threw 41-of-57 for 597 yards with six touchdowns. Burke’s 41 completions set a Colorado state record (there was a three-way tie for the previous record of 39 completions). Burke has 2,067 total passing yards and 21 touchdowns heading into Week 6. Both marks rank No. 2 in all classifications, behind Holy Family’s Chris Helbig (2,090 yards, 25 TDs).
Davis, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound senior, had 17 catches for 231 yards and one touchdown. Past the mid-season mark, Davis leads all classifications for reception yards with 912.
