
The Theatre Company at the DCPA today announced the four playwrights for the . The nationally noted February festival will feature new plays by José Cruz González, Lauren Gunderson, Tira Palmquist and Mat Smart.
The Summit will run Feb. 13-14 and Feb. 19-20.

Over the past decade, the festival has introduced 44 new plays, over half of which returned to the stage as full Theatre Company productions.
In addition to the four new play readings — “A.M.” by González, “Book of Will” by Gunderson, “Two Degrees” by Palmquist and “Midwinter” by Smart — the summit will include two world premieres: “The Nest” by Theresa Rebeck and “FADE” by Tanya Saracho.
The submissions guidelines noted the DCPA is especially interested in “plays written by and for African-Americans and Latinos, by women playwrights and plays written for young audiences.”
