Pueblo police on Friday arrested a 58-year-old woman on suspicion of first-degree murder in the slaying of her 60-year-old roommate.
Bonnie Ray Pier-Danzey was arrested on a no-bond warrant in the killing.
Police say Pier-Danzey was the first to call authorities to report her roommate’s death.
Investigators found Pier-Danzey’s roommate, a man whose identity has not been released, on Friday surrounded by blood on the floor of a home in the 900 block of Bragdon Avenue.
“Evidence of blunt force trauma was found on the (dead roommate),” police said in a news release. “A pending autopsy will be forthcoming to determine the cause of death.”
Police say they are still investigating the case.
